Glenview, IL –A Costco store was closed and two people were injured when a pipe containing Freon was broken inside the store. Firefighters were called to the 2900 block of Patriot Blvd. when some store workers broke a pipe containing Freon in the bakery department. The store was closed and two employees were taken to Glenbrook Hospital. Costco was able to repair the pipe and the store was reopened around 4 p.m. Building inspectors were called to the scene. Freon displaces oxygen and is something you do not want to breathe, but it is not extremely hazardous.
